tron2Walt Disney’s Tron 2.0 is due for release in 2011, and it has now been revealed (via Walt Disney Pictures) that the French music duo Daft Punk have been signed to produce an original music score for the upcoming sequel. Both Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo have had some involvement in film before, such as Electroma, Interstellar 5555 and other projects.

The original Tron was released in 1982 and featured music from Wendy Carlos.
