A bit of an odd one this, but Irish boyband Boyzone, seem to have an urging desire to change their image, after it has been revealed that they would love to have either The Chemical Brothers or Daft Punk on board to help produce their next album, despite the bands usually ballad based approach. Somehow we really can’t see it happening, but apparently the boys have already asked Mark Ronson for help.

Band frontman, Ronan Keating said:

“There are a couple of producers that I’d love to work with, in particular The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk. We did put it out there to Mark Ronson but he hasn’t got back to us…… This album isn’t going to be rushed. The problem at the moment is we’re still seen as a nostalgia act because we haven’t come back with a new album and made our mark yet. It’s going to be a very different album and it won’t be what people are expecting. It will be up-tempo and pop but not ballady.”

According to Keating, their next album we be out in time for Christmas, shockingly.
